How to Prepare for a Professional Carpet Cleaning Service
When you book your professional carpet cleaning service, there are a few things you can do to prepare for the service. Here are some things you can do:
The best thing you can do is to move as much as you can from the carpet so our technician can do the best job possible. This may include moving floor lamps, coffee tables, waste bins, chairs etc. Whilst our technician is happy to move (or help you move) what they can it's best if you can remove knick-knacks and collectibles from your shelves to prevent a breakage!
While your moving things off the carpeted areas, don't forget to remove loose items like toys, clothes, towels and other personal items so our qualified technician has complete access to all your carpet without having to dodge toys and other items
Whilst we ALWAYS pre-vacuum with our HEPA filtrated vacuum cleaners, it is a good idea to run your vacuum over the areas that are being cleaned to pick up any loose debris on the surface, this way our technician can get straight to the deep cleaning of your carpet.
If possible lift curtains and valances (aka dust ruffles) so they are out of the way and don't get caught by our wands or vacuum cleaner.
Make sure there is close and easy access for our technician to park the van and run the hoses to the carpets to be cleaned. Whilst we can arrange for a portable machine, for those jobs that are harder to reach (ie. high rise apartments or units), this is usually by prior arrangement.
Work out if there are particular areas of concerns or stains that you would like dealt with. All our carpet cleaning technicians will inspect the carpet before starting the clean and take the time to speak with you about your concerns and if there are areas or stains that you would like him to focus on.
